Aiming High for Disabled Children: Improving data.

Overview

In 2009 the Department of Health commissioned York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) to look at how data about disabled children is collected, managed and used at a local level. The report was entitled Aiming high for disabled children: improving data. Karin Lowson, who lead the project for YHEC, will lead this workshop which will look at the following:

applying lessons learned from the national study at a local level
using the data pathway tool
how sites may use this as a tool in conjunction with the report findings to tackle local problems

At the end of the workshop delegates will...

have a better understanding of the issues to do with data protection in relation to disabled children
have had the opportunity to discuss the issues to do with joined up data (or not)
have explored the problems for planning
