ChiMat Conference - Workforce

The development of a web-based Integrated Children's Workforce Planning Tool (IWPT) – CAMHS)

Overview

The National CAMHS Workforce Programme works to support the implementation of current relevant policy at a national, regional and local level. We recognise that the mental health and psychological well-being of children and young people depends on the contribution of the whole of the children's workforce.

Providing an integrated approach to workforce planning across all children's services is therefore essential. Consequently we have worked with ChiMat to move from a paper based model to a web based application. We would like to take the opportunity to share our web based IWPT which we are currently developing and testing with CAMHS Partnerships and Children's Trust with the aim of building the capacity and capability to workforce plan among commissioner and provider organisations and to establish mechanisms to facilitate greater service input and advice to local workforce planning.

Through the workshop you can share your knowledge, experience and skills, the challenges faced and solutions generated to the 8 CAMHS workforce planning themes and become actively involved in the development of the web based template.

Who should attend

The workshop will appeal to commissioners, providers and the range of stakeholders within comprehensive CAMHS, Tiers 1 -4/Universal, Targeted and Specialist provision.
