Accessing the Systems Planning Model
You can access the Systems Planning Model in one of two ways, directly on the Internet through your web browser, or by downloading and installing the ‘Runtime’ version of the model on your computer (or server).
Using the web-based model: The web-based model allows you access anywhere at any time (even as a virtual team) to design and test your plans. However, the Internet technology will NOT allow you to save your work or use the model output to illustrate documents and reports.
Adobe Flash Player version 9 (or higher) is required for this functionality. To install Flash player visit Adobe's Flash install page.
Using the 'Runtime' model: Downloading and installing the Runtime version will enable you to save different versions of the model containing your own data, and to copy and paste graphs and tables of performance metrics into Word and PowerPoint files. A User Guide is available below.
If your computer is an NHS or local authority computer you may need to ask your IT team to set this up for you, as many systems will not allow individual users to download programmes.
