  • Description: The project worked with 57 NHS trusts in England and resulted in measurable benefits for both maternity care and the working lives of NHS staff. The Large scale workforce change (LSWC) team was commissioned by the Change for Children Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) to deliver this programme to spread roles. The programme supported standard 11 of the National Service Framework (NSF) for children, young people and maternity services and the 'Every Child Matters' review. The programme ran from April 2005 to January 2006. This is the final report of the programme detailing the programme's background and aims, design and implementation and results and benefits. The report also showcases brief case studies for each participating trusts for employers to use to share and promote good practice.
