The service snapshot for child and adolescent mental health services has been updated with the latest available data and is now at local authority level.

All data modules have been updated to include 2011/12 HES data.

Service Snapshot - Teenage Pregnancy

The service snapshot has now been updated and includes 2010 conception data.

Outcomes versus Expenditure Tool - CAMHS

The child and adolescent mental health services tool has now been updated to include 2010/11 data.

Needs Assessment Reports

The Maternity Needs Assessment has now been refreshed. The new format includes new sections such as 'using this report' and 'next steps' as well as updates with the latest data.

You can generate a range of reports to support service planning and performance on different themes at various geographic levels, such as primary care trust (PCT), local authority, and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) partnership level.

Topical Reports

The following reports are available:

  • Accident Prevention
    Accidents are a major health issue for children; injuries in and around the home are the most common cause of death in children over the age of one. Looking at this report will help you gain a better understanding of unintentional injuries for children in your local area. The report includes information about deprivation, electrical safety, smoke alarms, fire and rescue service activity, domestic and other violence, road injuries, falls, and burns and scalds.

  • Healthy Schools
    The Healthy Schools Population Report compliments the Healthy Schools Profiles for Local Areas. These profiles can be used in conjunction with the Healthy Schools toolkit (available on the Department for Education website), by schools working within the Healthy Schools planning phase.

  • Youth Justice
    This report contains nationally available data about issues relating to youth justice for the local authority areas where the young people normally reside. The report includes prevalence rates for some needs experienced by young people, for England as a whole and for each local authority.

The Needs Assessment Reports provide appropriate evidence-based information on prevalence, incidence and risk factors affecting children’s health and the provision of healthcare services.
