Lessons from the Pilot Sites
Six pilot sites from across England took part in implementing the Tackling Stigma Framework. The pilots began in 2009, and include one Early Implementer site (Plymouth) and five pilot sites (Northumberland; Durham, Darlington and Tees; Liverpool; Walsall; and Northamptonshire).
The pilots have been fully engaged in implementing the domains of the Tackling Stigma Framework in their areas through partnerships that put children and young people at the centre of the pilot and include a range of organisations working with children.
This section highlights creative ways in which the pilots have worked towards tackling stigma and includes ‘top tips’ to help others in implementing the Tackling Stigma Framework.
Foundations for Success describes some 'quick wins' achieved by pilots at the early stages of implementation which were crucial to ensuring success later on.
Valuable examples and tips are shared by each of the pilot sites:
More detailed information about the pilot sites is included in the project evaluation report.
