Mental health: Emotional well-being
There is no one definition of well-being, but it is considered to be an over-arching concept concerning the quality of people's lives. Well-being is a multi-factorial concept, and includes emotional well-being. The Coalition Government are committed to measuring the populations' well-being and using this as an indicator for measuring the quality of our lives. The Office for National Statistics is leading on the development of a national measure, and this work will include measuring the well-being of children and young people.
This list of resources brings together key information and links relating to children’s and young people’s emotional well-being. If you have any suggestions on resources to add contact us.
